Sunday School

After the Sunday morning worship service, kids ages 3-13 have a time of Sunday School where they gain a deeper understanding of Biblical text, the stories of Jesus, and a greater spiritual relationship with God. Sunday School classes often lead service projects, whether they are right here at Grace or out in our community, helping to show how Grace is rooted in Christ and reaches to all, regardless of age. Sunday School lasts about an hour, classes are broken up age group, and is held during the typical school year.

Youth Group

For high schoolers ages 14-18, our Grace Church Youth Group is Sunday School in a more mature setting. A typical Youth Group session after the Sunday worship service includes a lesson and prayer. Teens in Youth Group are encouraged to give back to the church through volunteering in different positions such as nursery assistant and greeting church guests before Sunday services. Kids in our Youth Group also gather outside of church for monthly activities—some recent activities have been get-togethers for meals, games, cider-making, and volunteering at Feed My Starving Children.

Children’s Church

Children ages 3—6 join the adults during the singing and praising portion of our worship service, but during the pastor’s sermon they have the opportunity to leave the sanctuary with other kids to learn Bible lessons suited for their age. Grace’s volunteer Children’s Church leaders incorporate crafts, playtime, and Bible-based learning materials to help our children learn about God’s love in a way they can understand.

During the worship service, a nursery is available for children ages 3 and under. Each week a different Grace member volunteers to supervise the nursery. Grace’s nursery is filled with toys, playsets, and room for kids to be kids. You can worship knowing your child is in a safe environment.

Vacation Bible School

Every summer Grace is excited to host kids from our own congregation as well as those from around our community in a free, week-long Bible educational program. Through contemporary music, skits, games, and crafts, kids learn about God’s grace and have fun doing it. Typically held during the first week in August, Vacation Bible School is held in the evening and, as an added bonus, our members join together to cook a free healthy meal for participating children and their parents. Grace Church looks forward to VBS every year, and we are excited to get to know your family this summer.
